Another day, another pimple

I, like most girls in America, get very angry at the prospect of a humongo, fresh pimple popping up suddenly from outer space on to the most obvious place on my cheek.  However, I think I deserve to not ever have another pimple again.  Why, you ask?  The answer is because I took a little drug called isotretinoin, otherwise known to many of you as ACCUTANE.

Yes, this is the drug you may know has been speculated to have caused many teens to commit suicide.
I mean, it's bad enough that every day when I'm watching T.V. I see at least one commercial that says in bold red font:  WARNING: HAVE YOU TAKEN THE DRUG ACCUTANE AND HAVE DEVELOPED IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME, CHRON'S DISEASE, OR INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE? IF SO YOU MAY BE ENTITLED TO A CASH SETTLEMENT. I don't know about you, but if I develop a gastrointestinal disorder from a drug that's supposed to treat pimples, I'm going to need a lil' bit more than some cash.

I had to take this drug for 6 months, twice a day, it made my arms break out in a terrible itchy rash, my lips got so dry I just stopped buying 12 things of chapstick every time I went to the store bc nothing helped, and I got the WORST sunburn of my life because your skin is extra sensitive to the sun.  Now, all of these reasons above are why I think this danged drug should stop me from ever getting pimples again.  Granted, most of the times I get breakouts they usually clear themselves up within 24 hours.  But.  Times like yesterday/today, I get a pimple, which more resembles a wasp sting, or a very severe shiner.  Honestly it looks like I got punched in the face.  And these are the kinds of pimples that pop and give you SCARS.  And that's the reason why I went on Accutane in the first place!  To prevent myself from getting scars.  Welp, that was unsuccessful  - the scars on my face look like the guy they call "crater face" from
Grease.  I have accepted it and moved on.  But by now I should not be getting pimples like this that take 3+ days to go away.

If more than 4 people ask me, "what's wrong with your face?"  I know I've got a problem.

If you would like to know more about this horrendous drug that I took, please click here.  Note that there are like 50 side effects listed, some under the "IMPORTANT WARNING" section.  Lol.  Literally.  Laugh out loud.  I can't believe I took these pills!  Oh well.  C'est la vie.

My New Jean jacket

Today I went to Goodwill to drop some stuff off that's been sitting in my closet for awhile collecting dust.  While there, I decided on a whim to browse some of the clothing racks - everything looked nice and organized by color.

I came upon a jean jacket section and was immediately excited.  I have been looking for a jean jacket to wear with dresses this entire spring but haven't found one that was reasonably priced yet looked like I wanted it to.  My prayers were answered! A jean jacket, with adorable buttons, priced at SIX dollars!!!  Wow.  I didn't have time to look through everything, but I will go back later this week to look at the skirts.

I am not a maxxinista

You know that commercial for TJ Maxx where a lady with a British accent claiming to be a "fashion designer" is talking about how she's a 'maxxinista' and she buys all of her clothes from TJ Maxx? Well all I'm saying is that commercial is most likely a lie.

I love TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshalls. I think you can find good deals on things such as Steve Madden sandals ($12.99 @ Ross) and certain home decor items. Yesterday, my Dad and I went to TJ Maxx just to look around. I found a fedora for like 8 dollars, a random shirt, and some adidas workout shorts. I was standing in line behind one person thinking to myself, oh this won't be so bad. Then the black lady with 2 screaming kids playing with extremely loud noise-making books that she was completely ignoring walks up to the register and had very obviously ripped off/ripped in half the all of the tags on the mens shirts she was buying. How would that even happen more than once? It was blatantly obvious that she had ripped them off. Then she was saying things like, "none these shirts is mo' den 5 or 7 dollars". OK lady. We wouldn't even be in this sitution if you hadn't have ripped of the tags in the first place. So the girl at the register calls for a price check, 3 times, and there's still only one register open. After standing for 10 minutes I decided to abandon my purchases and just save myself thirty dollars. That's one thing I hate about places like TJ Maxx, Ross, etc., is that there's ALWAYS someone trying to rip people off! It's like, everything is already 50-70% off, so why are you making such a scene? Just suck it up and either buy the clothes if you love them, or don't buy the clothes and lasso your kids in so they'll stop spraying every cologne bottle and offbrand perfume in the entire store.

Bottom line is I love the bargains, but hate the people that shop there. Maybe next time I'll just wear my iPod.

Wishes

Things I really like and would buy if I had a real paying job:

This dress passes my 3 F's test: Fun, floral, and fantastic. Super cute!

For some reason I really want a pair of riding boots. These ones are perfect.

This skirt is adorable and probably wouldn't fit someone like me with hips the size of Canada, but I still love it.

Criminal Minds is a newly discovered show by me. It isn't anything like CSI which I HATE. It is about the behavioral analysis unit of the FBI and comes on A&E. Love it.

OK, OK, so this cute summertime Fedora with flower trim is very affordable at only $9.80, but I still would feel like I'm wasting money on it. I'm not sure why.

Wife Swap

Can I just say right now that wife swap is possibly one of the dumbest shows ever created? When I see it come on Lifetime I roll my eyes and immediately change the channel. So bogus.

Speaking of Lifetime, they've been showing old episodes of Grey's Anatomy. I really enjoy Grey's Anatomy. Only problem is, they don't show them in sequence, so they'll show 2 episodes in a row, but in the first one Meredith and Derek are like having sex, and in the following one they hate each other and there's 2 new doctors and Callie is a lesbian and Preston is kicked off the show and blah blah blah...

Grey's Anatomy is too dramatic and not like real life. Boston Medical is much better. Speaking of Boston Medical, there are 2 I believe hospitals featured on that T.V. show that show up on the "Best Hospitals Honor Roll". Boy oh Boy would I love to live in the northeast when I grow up. Actually there's like 12 places I would like to live when I grow up.

You can view the list of the U.S. News' Best Hospitals 2010-2011 here:

The List
That's all I got for right now.
